Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain precise records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Regularly reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
- Prepare and execute journal entries related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Keep a close eye on inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Collaborate effectively with procurement and warehouse teams to track goods in transit.
- Analyze inventory reports to identify any discrepancies or variances.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Provide support during audits and help resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accurate costing of inventory.
- Adhere to accounting principles and guidelines to ensure full compliance.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Accountant or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of inventory management and cost accounting concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
